Ray Mine, Pinal County, Arizona, USA

Miniature

This piece was previously owned by Lennart Narlund from Västerhaninge, Sweden and was displayed in the Stockholm Natural History Museum. The origin of this mineral is also fascinating, coming from Ray Mine which was one of the largest copper mines in Arizona during the early 20th century. This specimen is representative of the mineral, which forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies. As a fun bonus, there is a small quartz vug adding character to the piece.
