Tsavorite is a deep-green (due to trace vanadium or chromium) gem variety of grossular garnet that was discovered in Tanzania in 1967 by noted gem prospector and geologist, Campbell Bridges; and is named after the Tsavo National Park near where it was discovered. This 1+ cushion-cut tsavorite gem is an excellent gemstone for fine jewelry or the collector or rare minerals. Untreated with natural color (N).
